The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) suffered a loss on its stacked fight card last night. UFC 213 was set to feature an exhilarating title fight match up between UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko. However, the main event was pulled just hours before fight time. Now the UFC president has come forward with some details on what exactly went down.
UFC President Dana White recently appeared on ESPN’s Sports Center. On the show Dana White explained that Amanda Nunes visited a hospital on two occasions prior to the event. On both occasions, the fighter was cleared to compete by the UFC’s medical staff. However, Nunes continued to claim that she was not feeling well. As a result, the fight was ultimately pulled.
