Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion Max “Blessed” Holloway unified his interim UFC featherweight title at UFC 212 in June. Now it would appear that the champion’s next opponent has been picked out by the UFC president.
At UFC 212, Max Holloway faced off against former champion Jose Aldo in an attempt to unify his interim title. The fighter earned himself a TKO victory in the third round. Now, it has been revealed that Max Holloway’s next opponent will be former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar.
Khon2.com recently reported that UFC President Dana White has revealed Frankie Edgar as the champion’s next opponent. However, a venue or date have yet to be announced.
