On Thursday, UFC President Dana White appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote the highly anticipated boxing match between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
In the great words of Nick Diaz, White was selling “wolf tickets” to Kimmel and everyone watching his show.
White was asked by Kimmel if he thinks McGregor has a shot at winning this fight.
“I do. I do. You laugh, but I do. When you put two people anywhere and they start throwing punches, anything is possible,” White said.
White went on to explain how McGregor gets the job done on Aug. 26 in Las Vegas.
“Floyd Mayweather is going to be 41 years old this year. If there is a chink in that armor, it has been with southpaws,” White said.
“Conor McGregor is a southpaw. He’s 28 years old, and he hits like a truck. He’s got 12 rounds to land that punch, and if he can land that punch when he hits people they go. If he hits Floyd, I think he will hurt him, and when he hurts people, he puts them away.”
