Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone was set to face off against former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 213. However, the fight has since been removed. This was Cerrone’s first withdrawal from a bout within the mixed martial arts promotion.
As reported by Mike Bohn over Twitter, “#UFC213 marks the first time in @Cowboycerrone’s career that he’s withdrawn from a fight. He’s made 34 appearances under UFC/WEC banners.”
Donald Cerrone is now set to faced the former champion at UFC 214 in Anaheim, California for July 29.
