Eddie Alvarez Looking To Skip Poirier Rematch In Favor Of UFC Newcomer

Former UFC lightweight champion might not want to revisit that fight with Dustin Poirier after all.

And who can really blame him? He was getting his butt straight whooped, until he ended the fight with an illegal knee to Poirier’s bleeding dome.

A rematch would be the logical and right thing to do, the fight was entertaining while it lasted, and who doesn’t want to see two KO artists go for broke?

Taking to his twitter account, Eddie threw fight fans a curve ball by admitting to his desire to skip over the rematch for a fight against UFC newcomer Justin Gaethje.
