Some people were offended by some of the trash talk on Tuesday between UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
In Los Angeles, thousands of people filled the Staples Center to watch McGregor and Mayweather square off for the very first time.
While Mayweather was shadowboxing, McGregor said a comment that many people thought was racist.
“Dance for me, boy,” McGregor said to Mayweather.
After the press conference, TMZ Sports asked Mayweather’s father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., what he thought about McGregor’s comment.
“Racist? I don’t know what that has to do with racist,” Mayweather Sr. said. “This is a boxing match I don’t know what it has to do with racist.”
McGregor may want to choose his words more wisely during the next three press conferences planned for this week.
On Wednesday, Mayweather and McGregor will hold a press conference in Toronto. In the next two days, the two will travel to Brooklyn and London.
