Floyd “Money” Mayweather’s ex-girlfriend has come out and shared her thoughts on UFC Light Champion Conor McGregor’s actions.
McGregor was recently seen wearing a CJ Watson basketball jersey. Mayweather’s ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, apparently had an affair with the NBA star.
Harris’ attorney told TMZ Sports that she does not support McGregor using her to help get into Mayweather’s head.
“(The stunt) demonstrates not only an insensitivity toward the emotional wellbeing and privacy of the victim of Mayweather’s dom. violence, but also a general disregard for the physical and emotional trauma and long-lasting psychological impacts suffered by victims of dom. abuse,” Josie’s attorney, Dan Friedlander, said.
“On behalf of Josie Harris, her and Mayweather’s three children, and all victims of domestic violence, we ask that Conor McGregor refrain from capitalizing off of the trauma suffered by her and other victims of domestic abuse.”
In 2010, Mayweather was convicted of domestic violence against Harris.
Mayweather will fight McGregor in a boxing match on Aug. 26 in Las Vegas.
