Apparently, UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is not well liked by the majority of the UFC roster.
Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum claims that 80 percent of the UFC roster does not like McGregor.
“I think the fighters don’t like him because he talks too much. He doesn’t have respect for each of the fighters,” Werdum told MMAWeekly.com. “This is no good. If he had respected fighters, everybody would love him, but he talked too much.”
Werdum says the reason UFC fighters don’t like McGregor is due to a combination of the amount of promotion he receives and his disrespect towards other fighters.
“Conor McGregor has a lot of promotion. He talks a lot, but he doesn’t respect each fighter in the different divisions,” Werdum said. “Ask all the fighters. If you ask ten guys, eight say they don’t like him.”
Werdum is scheduled to fight Alistair Overeem on July 8 at UFC 213 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
