Even though former UFC champion Jon Jones is just coming off a suspension, Jones claims UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier is a cheater.
Jones is scheduled to fight Cormier for his UFC title in the main event of UFC 214.
On Wednesday, the UFC held a pre-fight press conference for UFC 214. During the event, Jones said Cormier cheated to make weight in his last fight.
In April, Cormier appeared to lift himself up on a towel while making weight for his title defense against Anthony Johnson.
Jones brought up the situation after Cormier made a joke about needing a towel to weigh-in.
“You can always say confidently that I’m the only, ever, 206.2 pound champion of the world,” Jones said. “You’ll always have that title.”
For the past year, Jones has been suspended from the sport due to testing positive for banned substances.
Jones will get an opportunity to win back the title he never lost at UFC 214, which will take place July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
