Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre has been attempting to assert his octagon return for some time now. The former champion is determined to square off with UFC middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping for his return to the mixed martial arts promotion. However, injuries and other obligations have kept the two fighters from narrowing down a fight date. Now, things have changed.
It was recently revealed that Michael Bisping vs. Georges St-Pierre is being pushed for UFC 217 in Nov. Now, it would appear that “Rush” has provided his thoughts on the recent news.
“After a great announcement in the middle of the night, had breakfast with @82Spaniard and started planning how I’m gonna beat Bisping!” St-Pierre stated over Twitter.
