Insider Details Brock Lesnar’s UFC Return

More details have been given about the potential UFC return of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.

According to Dave Meltzer, of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lesnar has not yet entered the USADA testing pool. In order to return, Lesnar must be a part of the USADA testing pool for five months before he can fight.

Lesnar was suspended for one year after testing positive for a banned substance last July for his fight against Mark Hunt. Lesnar’s suspension was put on hold after he retired from the sport.

According to Meltzer, the UFC wants Lesnar to fight on Dec. 30 at the UFC’s last pay-per-view of the year. Since the UFC hasn’t done well on pay-per-view in 2017, the promotion is desperate for big names.

In order to fight in the UFC, Lesnar will need to gain permission from the WWE since he is currently under contract with the wrestling promotion. Last July, the WWE did grant Lesnar permission but since his failed drug test, the WWE may not want to risk one of their top stars failing another drug test.
