Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has gone through a lot over the past year.
Due to bad decisions outside of the Octagon, Jones was stripped of two different UFC titles and has been suspended for the past year.
Jones recently appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter to discuss what he’s learned during his time away from the sport.
“I’ve learned that there are consequences for your actions, and I’ve learned how much I love this sport,” Jones said.
Despite not fighting in over a year, Jones is getting an opportunity to win back the title he never lost.
At UFC 214, Jones will fight UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier in the main event.
While Jones has been away from the sport, Cormier has taken the top spot in the UFC light heavyweight division. He will be defending his title for the third time when he fights Jones.
In the video below, you can listen to Jones talk about his upcoming fight.
UFC 214 will take place July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
