Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones may have the most vicious ground and pound in all of MMA.
In a recent episode of UFC Embedded, Jones showed off his ground striking while preparing for his next fight.
On Saturday, Jones will fight UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier in the main event of UFC 214.
“I’ve been training with Jon for seven or eight years and tonight was the most ferocious ground and pound I’ve ever seen,” Brandon Gibson, Jones’ striking coach, said.
“D.C better be ready because we are coming in all areas. I know D.C is working hard and I know he’s a great champion, but we’re ready to make a statement on Saturday night.”
Jones has not fought in the UFC in over a year. Actions outside of the cage have resulted in him being stripped of two different UFC title and being suspended for the past year.
UFC 214 will take place July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
