Jon Jones doesn’t recognize UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier as the true champion.
Jones recently shared a video on his Instagram page where he claims he is still the UFC light heavyweight champion.
In the video, which can be seen below, Jones says he is the champion and gives his fans an update on his training and his current state of mind.
Jones never lost his UFC light heavyweight title. He was stripped of his title back in 2015 after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident.
In 2016, Jones won an interim UFC title, but he was also stripped of that title after he tested positive for banned substances.
Jones is now scheduled to fight Cormier once again for the title he never lost. The two light heavyweight rivals will fight in the main event of UFC 214 on July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
