UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov has given another hint as to when he would like to return to the UFC.
On Sunday, Nurmagomedov shared a picture of himself training in South Korea on his Instagram account.
“Training everywhere. Road to come back,” Nurmagomedov wrote on Instagram.
Nurmagomedov also hashtagged the phrase “UFCNY” which stands for UFC New York.
It appears, Nurmagomedov may want to fight on Nov. 4 at UFC 217, which will be the UFC’s next fight at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Nurmagomedov has not fought since last November when the UFC had their debut show in New York City. On that night, Nurmagomedov submitted lightweight contender Michael Johnson.
Nurmagomedov was scheduled to fight back in April in an interim title fight against Tony Ferguson. However, Nurmagomedov withdrew from the fight due to illness.
While Ferguson is an obvious choice for Nurmagomedov’s next fight, there are also rumors that Nurmagomedov may fight UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor in December.
