It would appear that former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Luke Rockhold is getting ready for another octagon performance. The former champion suffered a title ending loss to now reigning champion Michael “The Count” Bisping at UFC 199 last year. Now, it would appear that they former champion has two possible competitors lined up for his return.
MMA journalist Ariel Helwani recently took to Twitter to report that David Branch and Yoel Romero on possible opponents for the former champion.
Helwani reported over Twitter, “Been serious talks of booking Luke Rockhold vs. David Branch as the main event of the Sept. 16 card in Pittsburgh. However, Yoel Romero’s name has also been discussed as an opp. for Rockhold on a later date. Should be done soon. Rockhold’s return is imminent.”
