Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao has endorsed UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor ahead of his professional boxing debut.
On Wednesday, Pacquiao posted a photo of McGregor on his Instagram page.
“Never shy away from challenges. Never run from adversity. Face yourself head on,” Pacquiao’s Instagram post said.
McGregor is currently preparing to make his professional boxing debut. Next month, he will compete against Floyd “Money” Mayweather, who is one of the greatest boxers of all time.
After being retired for almost two years, Mayweather is returning to the sport of boxing to potentially earn the biggest payday of his career. However, in order to receive that payday, Mayweather will have to put his perfect 49-0 record on the line against the UFC champion.
As of today, Mayweather’s largest payday came from his fight against Pacquiao back in 2015.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
