Heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson doesn’t think UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor will do well in his professional boxing debut.
Next month, McGregor will step into a boxing ring for the first time as a professional when he fights Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
Tyson talked about the highly anticipated boxing match between Mayweather and McGregor on a recent edition of the Pardon My Take podcast.
“McGregor is going to get killed boxing,” Tyson said. “I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that’s what it’s all about. Can the boxer beat the MMA guy?
“(McGregor) put his dumb(expletive) in a position where he’s gonna get knocked out because this guy’s been doing this all his life since he was a baby. (McGregor) can’t kick and grab and stuff so he won’t stand much of a chance.”
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
