Boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather has reacted to the recent upset loss fellow boxing legend Manny Pacquiao recently suffered.
Earlier this month, Pacquiao lost a controversial decision to Jeff Horn.
Mayweather recently talked about Pacquiao’s situation and said that’s one of the reasons he plans to retire for good.
“No one gave Jeff Horn a chance. A school teacher was bullied and now he’s world champion. So anything can happen,” Mayweather said in a recent interview.
“Anything can happen. So no matter what happens August 26, I can’t do it anymore. I can’t. Too much wear and tear on the body. It’s too hard for me. I can’t do it anymore. I’m just telling people the truth.”
Mayweather has been retired from the sport of boxing for almost two years, but he is returning to the sport to fight UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
Mayweather will put his perfect 49-0 record on the line against McGregor, who will be making his professional boxing debut. The two will fight Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
