Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Nick Diaz has come under fire of the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) as of late. For not disclosing his location to the agency on multiple occasions, the mixed martial artist has been placed on a provisional suspension from the mixed martial arts promotion.
It was recently reported by Brett Okamoto with ESPN, that Nick Diaz could be facing anywhere from a six month to two year suspension for his failure to reveal his location on multiple occasions.
Okamoto stated, “Any athlete who fails to do so three or more times in a 12-month period is subject to a suspension ranging anywhere from six months to two years.”
The UFC also provided a statement on the matter, “USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of Diaz’s case, who has been provisionally suspended pending the final resolution of this matter.”
