ONE Championship’s next event has been postponed.
On July 29, ONE was expected to hold their inaugural event in Surabaya, Indonesia, but the promotion has been forced to postpone the event due to logistical issues. ONE has not announced a new date for the event.
ONE Championship: Conquest of Kings was scheduled to be headlined by a flyweight title unification bout between ONE Flyweight Champion Kairat Akhmetov and interim champion Adriano Moraes.
Akmetov is undefeated with 23 wins. He has not fought since 2015. In his last fight, he won a split decision against Moraes. In Akmetov’s absence, Moraes has managed to rule ONE’s flyweight division.
ONE has not announced whether they will move the title fight to a different card or if they will save it for when they hold their next show in Indonesia.
Now, the next ONE event will take place Aug. 5 in Macau, China.
ONE Championship: Kings and Conquerors will be headlined by ONE Bantamweight Champion Bibiano Fernandes defending his title against Andrew Leone.
