UFC President Dana White was not impressed with UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley’s performance at UFC 214.
On Saturday, Woodley defeated Demian Maia in the co-main event of UFC 214 and successfully defended his title.
For five round, Woodley stopped all of Maia’s takedowns but didn’t do much else besides land a few punches. Regarldess, Woodley did enough to earn a unanimous decision victory.
After the fight, White did not have nice things to say about his welterweight champion.
“Who wants to pay to see Tyron Woodley fight?” White said.
After his win, Woodley called out former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre, but White says that fight won’t happen.
After UFC 214, White confirmed that when St-Pierre makes his UFC return he will fight UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping.
With St-Pierre off the table, there is no clear top contender for Woodley’s welterweight championship.
