Reports are coming in that a fighter from UFC 214 has been sent to the hospital due to a bad weight cut.
According to the state of California’s new guidelines, this fighter was too dehydrated and needed to be taken to a medical facility.
No information has been given about who this fighter is or whether or not he or she’s fight has been canceled.
All 24 fighters scheduled to fight at UFC 214 made weight for their fights on Friday.
All the fighters competing on Saturday didn’t seem to struggle to make weight, but undefeated featherweight Brian Ortega did show up at the last minute to weigh-in on Friday.
UFC 214 is scheduled to take place July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. In the main event, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier will defend his title against former champion Jon Jones.
