Report: Seats Not Selling for #MayMac, Has the Hype Train Stopped?

UFC lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor is gearing up to face off against Floyd Mayweather Jr. inside a boxing ring. The fight, likely to be the payday of McGregor’s career, goes down Aug. 26 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, it would appear that the highly anticipated cross-promotional match up is not selling seats as quickly as the promotions may like.

As reported by ESPN, hundreds of seats are still available for the epic match up. The cheapest seats reportedly available for purchase are still astronomically high, with a price of $3,500.

That being said, promoter Leonard Ellerbe is not worried. The promoter told the Associated Press, “We’re very excited and very happy with ticket sales so far.”
