UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor may be making more in his next fight than previously expected.
In his next fight, McGregor will make his professional boxing debut against boxing icon Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
It was already expected that McGregor will earn the biggest payday of his life when he fights Mayweather. However, rumors are spreading that the total amount of money McGregor will make is much higher than we originally thought.
Previously, McGregor was expected to make somewhere around $100 million. Now, McGregor is expected to make as high as $125 million.
One of the major factors that will play in McGregor’s total compensation is how many pay-per-views the fight sells.
There is a good shot of Mayweather vs. McGregor breaking the all-time pay-per-view record.
With the pay-per-view selling for almost $100, it is likely McGregor will never see a payday this large again in his life.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
