Schaub Advises Reebok To Spend Seven Figures To Keep Conor McGregor On Board

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is not required to wear Reebok in his upcoming boxing match.

Reebok has an exclusive clothing sponsorship deal with the UFC and all of its fighters. Since McGregor will not be competing in the UFC in his next fight, he is free to seek other sponsorship opportunities.

McGregor will make his professional boxing debut against Floyd “Money” Mayweather in a fight that is considered to be one of the most historic fights in combat sports history.

Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub believes Reebok should spend whatever it takes to keep their logo on the UFC champion.

“This is HUGE,” Schaub said in a tweet after learning McGregor could choose his sponsors. “If Reebok was smart they’d pay the seven figures to stay associated with Conor. I’d love to see Nike involved tbh.”

Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Saturday, August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
