The world press tour for the upcoming boxing match between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor was a huge success.
Last week, McGregor and Mayweather traveled to four major cities, in three different countries, in the span of four days to promote their upcoming fight.
The four press conferences streamed live through numerous different platforms including the UFC and Showtime Sports YouTube pages. Just those two YouTube streams generated almost 19 million viewers.
Those 19 million viewers does not include people who watched the press conferences live on television or through other online streams.
Last week, Mayweather and McGregor held press conferences in Los Angeles, Toronto, Brooklyn, and London. Each press conference featured the fighters going face-to-face and trading insults.
McGregor will make his professional boxing debut against Mayweather, who will be coming out of retirement after two years away from the sport.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Not including TV broadcasts & other feeds, just on the Showtime & UFC YouTube channels the #MayMacWorldTour pressers generated 18.7M views. pic.twitter.com/5qLXAIsmGU
