Boxing phenom Manny Pacquiao suffered a unanimous decision loss to Jeff Horn last week, ending the fighter’s reign as WBO welterweight world champion. Now it would appear that the fight camp for Conor McGregor is drawing strength from the recent underdog performance of Jeff Horn.
UFC lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor will be fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. inside a boxing ring on Aug. 26. While many fighters and fans believe Conor McGregor only has a puncher’s chance at beating the undefeated boxer, SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh is quite confident in Conor McGregor’s chances.
Over Twitter Kavanagh stated, “The day after the night before when the guy who wasn’t supposed to win won and Twitter is melting….roll on 8/27 ?.”
