Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov has been having some issues as of late. The fighter was set to face off against fellow top contender Tony Ferguson for the interim UFC lightweight title at UFC 209. However, the fighter suffered weight management complications that forced the fighter to be rushed to the hospital. As a result, the night’s co-main event title fight was cancelled.
Following the moment, Nurmagomedov revealed that he still wishes to face Tony Ferguson. Now, Feguson has shot back a response.
Over Twitter, Tony Ferguson explained that he would potentially accept a fight with Nurmagomedov, if the fighter “begged” him enough.
Nurmagomedov is currently in rehabilitation, which Ferguson makes sure to reference in his message to the fighter. For the full exchange, see the video below.
