Tonya Evinger is unsure who the UFC dislikes more, her or Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino.
This Saturday, Evinger will fight “Cyborg” for the vacant UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship.
Evinger recently did an interview with MMA Fighting and said she was brought in just to lose to Justino. She was then asked whether she thought the UFC wanted “Cyborg” to win on Saturday.
“I don’t know who they want to win,” Evinger said. “I don’t know who they hate more, me or her.”
Evinger is a former Invicta bantamweight champion. She was forced to relinquish her title in order to fight for the UFC championship.
Evinger has won 10 of her last 11 fights, and her one loss was a no-contest.
Justino is also a former Invicta champion. “Cyborg” held the promotion’s featherweight title, but she relinquished it in order to focus on being in the UFC. Justino is also a former Strikeforce champion.
UFC 214 will take place July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
