On Sunday, the UFC returned to Glasgow, Scotland for a special afternoon edition of UFC Fight Night.
Middleweight fighters were given an opportunity to show their worth on the main card as Jack Marshman fought Ryan Janes.
Marshman came out aggressive and was head hunting to start the fight. Janes managed to land some punches and kicks of his own. Marshman began landing clean punches to Janes’ jaw. Marshmann began landing devastating punches at will, but Janes continued to move forward. The round ended with Janes engaging a clinch against the cage.
Janes started the middle round throwing body kicks. Early on, Marshman struggled to close the distance. Both fighters began trading jabs midway into the round. Janes shot for a takedown, but Marshman stayed on his feet. Janes got the fight up against the cage. Marshman fought his way free at the end of the round. The round ended with both fighters trading blows.
Both fighters came out swinging to start the final round, but neither produced much damage early. Marshman continued to have success with his punches, while Janes utilized kicks to the legs and body. Janes started having more success with his punches. Janes briefly got the fight against the cage and began landing strikes inside the clinch. In the final seconds, Janes was the aggressor and hunted down Marshman to finish the fight.
