Mixed martial arts legend Kazushi Sakuraba was recently inducted into the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Hall of Fame. The newly inducted Hall of Famer decided to visit the recent The Ultimate Fighter season 25 finale.
While the mixed martial arts legend was present for the event, UFC announcer Todd Grisham had a bit of an erroneous moment. The live feed camera panned to the mixed martial arts legend for Grisham to comment on. However, the announcer struggled to properly pronounce the UFC Hall of Famer’s name.
Fans have since gone to social media to show their distaste for Grisham’s moment. Some of those comments can be seen in the social media posts below.
Holy fuck Todd Grisham couldn't pronounce Sakuraba's name. Instantly the most cringeworthy moment in MMA history. #TUFFinale

Todd Grisham mispronounced Kazushi Sakuraba's first AND last names. This sport is trash.

Yo, Todd Grisham botched saying Sakuraba. I've excused everything up until this point. Now he's forever shunned.#TUFFinale

I've given Goldberg as much hell as anyone over the years, but he would never have botched Kazushi Sakuraba's name the way Grisham did.

BAW GAWD Grisham. Mangled Sakuraba's name right there. Oh no. There's no saving this.

Amazing main event tonight. Obviously regret messing up Kazushi Sakuraba's name. Respect his amazing career and all his done for the sport.
