Earlier this year, a cornerman was forced to jump in a cage to save his fighter after the referee failed to see that the fighter was out cold.
In February, Asha Roka fought Hanna Kampf. Roka managed to lock on a deep guillotine choke early in the first round. Kampf’s arm went limp showing she was passed out, but the referee didn’t stop the fight.
While it appears Kampf is out, the commentator’s are screaming at the referee. However, in the referee’s defense, it looks like Kampf was still controlling her right arm, which the commentators later pointed out.
Eventually, Kampf’s corner now only throws in the towel, but her cornerman, UFC veteran Dennis Hallman, ran into the cage to get her out of the choke.
