UFC middleweight contender Yoel Romero has been near perfect in his MMA career.
Romero has been unbeaten in the UFC, but he did suffer a loss while competing in Strikeforce.
In Sept. 2011, Romero was knocked out by former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante.
Despite the loss, it was one of Romero’s most exciting fights. Early in the fight, Romero stunned Feijao, but in the end, Cavalcante kept his composure and earned the knockout victory.
Highlights from this exciting fight can be seen in the video below.
To this day, this is the only loss on Romero’s record. After this fight, Romero dropped down to the middleweight division and debuted in the UFC.
Romero is now scheduled to compete in his first UFC title fight. In the co-main event of UFC 213, Romero will fight Robert Whittaker for an interim middleweight championship.
UFC 213 will take place Saturday, July 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
