It appears the WWE wants former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey to compete at their biggest event of the year.
According to CageSide Seats, rumors are spreading of the WWE wanting Rousey to compete at next year’s WrestleMania.
Rousey has appeared at WrestleMania before. In 2015, at WrestleMania 31, Rousey came to the aid of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, but she did not have a match.
It comes to no surprise that the WWE wants Rousey to compete at their biggest event. Rousey competing on the show is likely due to some of her close friends having close ties to the wrestling promotion.
Rousey’s Four Horsewomen stablemate Shayna Baszler recently joined the WWE and is competing in the Mae Young Classic this summer. Marina Shafir, who is also a member of the Four Horsewomen, is engaged and has a child with WWE star Roderick Strong.
WrestleMania 34 will take place April 8 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
