An MMA fighter has passed away after losing a fight by TKO this weekend.
Rondel Clark passed away on Tuesday. The cause of his death is unknown at this time.
Clark fought in an amateur fight at a Cage Titans event in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Cage Titans is a regional MMA promotion in the area. They claim to be “Massachusetts’ leading MMA Organization, featuring many of the areas top professional and amateur fighters” according to their Facebook page.
According to a statement, both the local police and state police, along with the athletic commission, are investigating Clark’s death.
Clark was taken to a local hospital in Plymouth following his post-fight evaluation. He was later transferred to a hospital in Boston where he later died.
Clark had an amateur MMA record of 1-1. In his first fight, he took just 25 seconds to knockout his opponent. On Saturday, he was defeated by Ryan Dunn in the third round of their fight.
