UFC featherweight Artem Lobov recently shared some harsh words towards former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi.
Lobov is a training partner of UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor, and he will be in McGregor’s corner when he fights Floyd “Money” Mayweather on Saturday.
On Wednesday, Lobov discussed the altercation between McGregor and Malignaggi that took place the day before. Malignaggi confronted McGregor during McGregor’s grand arrival in front of the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
“He has received a level of media attention that he has never experienced before. Even when he fought for world titles, he didn’t have so much media attention on him. So he was enjoying it,” Lobov said.
“I went onto his Twitter just to see, I was entertained by all the responses, and one of his tweets he responds with, ‘look at all the followers I’m getting.’ This is how sad he is. He’s letting himself look like a fool just so he can get a few extra followers.”
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
