In Dec. 2015, Conor McGregor won his first undisputed UFC championship after knocking out Jose Aldo.
After winning the UFC featherweight title, McGregor clearly went over and told Aldo a private message.
While you couldn’t hear what McGregor said while watching the two inside the Octagon, referee “Big” John McCarthy later revealed what McGregor said to Aldo.
“Connor [sic] told Aldo that he was a great Champion and that if he wanted they will do it again,” McCarthy said on Twitter.
As of today, that was the last time McGregor fought as a featherweight. Since then, he has gone on to win the UFC Lightweight Championship.
McGregor is currently preparing to see if his knockout power will transfer to the world of boxing. On Saturday, McGregor will make his professional boxing debut when he fights Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
