Boxer Who Turned His Back On McGregor Turns It Around Once More

The boxer who leaked sparring footage of UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor has responded to McGregor’s professional boxing debut.

Last Saturday, McGregor fought in his first professional boxing match. He looked good early in the fight and managed to win some of the rounds. But in the end, McGregor was defeated by Floyd “Money” Mayweather by TKO in the 10th round.

Chris Van Heerden, the professional boxer who released McGregor’s sparring footage in the beginning of his training camp, talked about McGregor’s first boxing match in a recent interview.

“McGregor proved me wrong,” Van Heerden said. “I honestly didn’t expect Conor to be in there for 10 rounds, and I didn’t expect him to do as well as he did. So I want to say congratulations, Conor McGregor. You proved me wrong, and I’m man enough to say well done, brother.

In the video below, you can listen to Van Heerden share all of his thoughts on McGregor’s fight against Mayweather.
