Boxing’s Joe Cortez Breaks His Silence, Very Impressed With Conor McGregor, Says, “He’ll be just fine Saturday night”


Conor McGregor’s professional boxing debut is creeping ever closer, as the UFC champion is set to compete this Saturday night. Fighting undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr., “Notorious” has quite the challenge ahead of him. However, it would appear that hall of fame boxing referee Joe Cortez believes the UFC champion will be “just fine” come fight night.

Joe Cortez has been working within McGregor’s camp by teaching “Notorious” the rules of boxing.  In a recent interview with The Mac Life, Joe Cortez explained that he has grown in confidence over the UFC champion’s abilities. The hall of fame referee believes he may just be ready come fight night.

Conor McGregor will face off against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Aug. 26 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
