Grammy-nominated artist Demi Lovato will sing the national anthem prior to this weekend’s historic boxing encounter.
Floyd “Money” Mayweather will come out of retirement to fight UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor on Saturday night.
On Tuesday, Mayweather Promotions announced that Lovato would be a part of what is already one of the biggest fights in combat sports history.
Lovato is known for being a fan of the UFC. She also trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She is also known for her past relationships with former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold and Bellator MMA fighter Guilherme Vasconcelos.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Mayweather has not fought in almost two years. This will be the 50th fight of his legendary career. He is currently unbeaten with a perfect boxing record of 49-0.
McGregor will be competing in his first boxing match as a professional. In the UFC, McGregor is known for being one of the most devastating punchers in the sport.
