Former UFC title challenger Cat Zingano wants to see a third fight between UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz.
The one-year anniversary of the second fight with McGregor and Diaz just passed. In honor of the anniversary, Zingano re-watched the fight on Monday.
“Rewatched these bad a$$es last night. I thought we’d see a trilogy by now,” Zingano said on Twitter along with a picture of the fight.
Diaz and McGregor first fought at UFC 196 back in March 2016. On that night, Diaz shocked the world when he submitted McGregor with a rear-naked choke. To this day, Diaz is the only fighter to have defeated McGregor inside the Octagon.
The two fought in a rematch one year ago at UFC 202. On that night, McGregor earned a decision victory.
Since that fight, McGregor has gone on to win the UFC lightweight title and is currently preparing to make his professional boxing debut.
On Aug. 26, McGregor will fight boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
