Conor McGregor Announces His Plans To Keep Boxing After Mayweather Bout

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor plans to continue competing in boxing after his fight with Floyd “Money” Mayweather.

On Friday, McGregor hosted a media day in Las Vegas. While talking to the media, McGregor revealed with wants to continue his journey in the sport of boxing.

However, he is not done with the sport of mixed martial arts. McGregor says he wants to compete in both sports moving forward.

“I love the sport of boxing. Boxing has been dear to my heart my whole, entire life,” McGregor said. “I will contend in boxing bouts going forward, and I will contend in mixed martial arts bouts going forward. I will rule both with an iron fist, and that’s where my mindset is.”

McGregor will be making his professional boxing debut when he steps into the ring with Mayweather in two weeks.

Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
