A historic night of boxing is now in the books. On Saturday night, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor squared away with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Ultimately, McGregor suffered a TKO loss to his opponent. However, “Notorious” does not appear phased by the loss.
In his post-fight interview, as transcribed by MMA Fighting, Conor McGregor explained “I’ve been here before. I’ve been strangled on live TV and came back, so I don’t know. I would have liked him to just let it go. F—k it. I got in here in the squared circle, everything was different, it was a lot more fun.”
Conor McGregor suffered a submission loss by way of rear-naked choke to Nate Diaz at UFC 196. What is next for the UFC champion is yet to be clear.
