UFC President Dana White is not a fan of MMA reporter Ariel Helwani.
In an interview with Jim Norton, White talked about his disdain for the popular MMA reporter.
White’s issues with Helwani stem from an incident that took place in July 2016 at UFC 199.
At UFC 199, the UFC had produced a special promotional video for UFC 200 that was announcing former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar’s return to the UFC.
Hours before the UFC was going to make their announcement, Helwani posted a story revealing Lesnar’s return at UFC 200.
“If you notice I wasn’t out there putting the belt on Dominick Cruz. Then when I ran out to put the belt on Bisping because I’ve been with Bisping for 10 years, he’s such a great guy, my sleeves are rolled up, I got no jacket on because I’m dealing with the aftermath of the weasel move that he pulled,” White said about Helwani revealing the Lesnar news.
The UFC briefly took Helwani’s credentials away after the incident but has since returned his credentials. In the video below, you can hear White share all of his thoughts towards Helwani.
