UFC President Dana White has revealed that UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor fought a little dirty during his sparring sessions with former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi.
On Tuesday, White told the media that McGregor had two points taken away during his last sparring session with Malignaggi. White also said McGregor would have won every round against Malignaggi if it wasn’t for the point deductions.
“Conor won all 12 rounds, except for the two points that were taken away,” White said. “He got two points taken away during the fight. So those were the only two that Paulie won.”
White went on to reveal what McGregor did in order to get points taken away by the referee.
“He kept pulling on his neck,” White said. “I think the ref was hard on his on purpose to say ‘hey, they are going to be looking at all this little (expletive) that you do.’ Every little thing that Conor does, they are going to be all over him.”
McGregor will fight Floyd “Money” Mayweather in a boxing match on Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
