Both Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor are being drug tested by the U.S Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) prior to their upcoming boxing match.
However, McGregor has been tested more than Mayweather with just one week until the two meet inside the ring.
As of Aug. 18, McGregor has given 14 samples to USADA, while Mayweather has given 12.
The reason McGregor has been tested more than Mayweather is because he is also a fighter in the UFC.
USADA is the official drug-testing partner of the UFC. All of the UFC’s athletes get tested numerous times a year by USADA, and McGregor is no different.
While the majority of McGregor samples were given due to his upcoming boxing match, four of his samples were collected as part of the UFC’s drug-testing system.
McGregor will make his professional boxing debut when he fights Mayweather next week.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
