Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar certainly had the deck stacked against him going into the big WWE SummerSlam main event at the Barclays Center in New York City. Lesnar had to take on three of the WWE’s heaviest hitters in a fatal 4-way match as he had to do battle with Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, and the massive Braun Strowman.
However, unlike most of Brock’s matches, he was thoroughly dominated from nearly the opening bell, particularly by Strowman who took Lesnar out in devastating fashion for much of the match.
The nearly 7 foot tall Strowman put Brock through two tables and had Lesnar sent out on a stretcher, but Brock would eventually make his way back to the ring to continue doing battle with his three title challengers.
Eventually Lesnar was able to recover and hit the “F-5” finisher to score the pinfall over Roman Reigns and retain his WWE Universal title.
