UFC lightweight contender Tony Ferguson has been quickly losing a large amount of weight in preparation for his upcoming title fight.
On Monday, Ferguson said he has cut 20 pounds in the past 20 days. The lightweight contender gave more details of his weight cut on Twitter.
“20 Days Ago I Was 201lbs. Today I Made 181 With The Help Of My Squad. 20 Lbs In 20 Days… (Expletive) That Sucked.Time To Get Cut #TheeFutureChamp,” Ferguson wrote.
Ferguson still has quite a bit of weight to lose in order to make the 155-pound weight limit for his upcoming title fight. On Oct. 7, Ferguson will fight fellow lightweight contender Kevin Lee for an interim title in the main event of UFC 216.
Ferguson is ranked No. 2 in the official UFC lightweight rankings. He is currently on a nine-fight win streak and is coming off a decision win over former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos.
