Floyd “Money” Mayweather thinks it’s important for him to knockout UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor in their upcoming fight.
On Thursday, during his media day in Las Vegas, Mayweather said if he wins by decision, it would still be considered a win for McGregor.
“If the fight goes the distance it is a win for him,” Mayweather said. “But I don’t think that is going to happen. He is going around saying that it will be over in four rounds, and he might be right. But it will be because I say so, and not him.”
Mayweather went on to say he is going to put on a show against McGregor, and people will not be disappointed in his performance.
“The people should expect entertainment, and that is what I am going to give them,” Mayweather said. “They have to understand that this is a show. One of the biggest shows in history. No one is going to be disappointed.”
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
